Clan Crusader

The Clan Crusader is a production sports car manufactured in the early 70's by the Clan motor company. The vehicles were available both in production and component form and were technologically advanced for their time, sporting a full composite monocoque construction, an all aluminum engine with an over head cam and mounted at 45 degrees to keep CofG low. The vehicle was also designed with aerodynamics in mind.

Front suspension : Hillman Imp Swing arm suspension.

Rear suspension : Hillmam Imp Semi-trailing arm suspension.

Transmission : Jack Knight straight cut close ratio box in standard Hillman Imp casing.

Clutch: Competition Imp Clutch

Dampers: Front - Koni's, Rear - Adjustable Spax

Wheels: Revolutions

Tyres: Yokohama A032Rs Super Soft

Brake system: Discs all round.

Fuel system: Standard Imp tank supplying Twin Webers.

Electronic systems: Lluminition., Astratech Data aquisition system

Fuel & lubricants: Leaded

Cockpit: Driver four point safety harness. Manual gearchange.

Engine :Hillman Imp 998 cc Gretham Engine based on the Coventry climax engine (originally a fire pump)  .

Weight: 580 Kg (Approx) Wet.
